Gathering at the train station square this summer, featuring a communal feast

On Monday, September 8th, the station square in Bremen will play host to the 11th edition of the "Open Dinner for All" event. This annual gathering, initiated by the Bremen Soup Angels, aims to bring together people from various social and cultural backgrounds, fostering humanitarian values such as empathy, solidarity, and understanding for each other.

The event kicks off at 13:00 with welcome speeches from Dr. Claudia Schilling, Antje Grotheer, and Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald. At around 13:30, Club Vulcano will take the stage to perform music, setting the tone for the afternoon.

At approximately 15:00, the much-anticipated cooking show will commence. Renowned Bremen chefs Natalie Shtefunyk (Bab' Maria) and Jan-Philipp Iwersen (Küche 13) will guide the food preparation process, with the meal being prepared on-site by a team of volunteers using a field kitchen provided by the Association of Reservists of the German Armed Forces.

The joint meal is scheduled for around 16:30, followed by an evening of conversation and camaraderie. Michael Vondrasek, who was not specifically identified as a moderator in earlier search results, will lead the event, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

The Barber Angels Brotherhood e.V. will also be on hand during the event, offering free haircuts to those in need. The event is expected to conclude at 19:00, marking the end of another successful gathering aimed at building bridges and fostering unity in the community.

Last year, approximately 400 people participated in the event, and this year's edition promises to be just as memorable. The motto of the event, "Building Bridges," encapsulates the spirit of the gathering, as it strives to break down barriers and bring people together in celebration of our shared humanity. All residents of Bremen are welcome to join this heart-warming event.
