Gathering at the Nordhorn City Library Known as JULIUS Club
The JULIUS-Club, a summer reading club for children and young people aged 11 to 14, has officially started at Nordhorn City Library. This project, under the patronage of the city's cultural department, aims to foster a love for reading and strengthen reading enjoyment, expression, and text comprehension.
Registration for the Julius-Club and its accompanying workshops is free. Members can enjoy an exclusive book selection, which includes thrilling stories, funny adventures, and dream books. Some titles are available as audiobooks or e-books, making reading accessible in various formats.
Currently, 100 book titles are available for free loan to JULIUS-Club members at Nordhorn City Library. The book selection is chosen every year by an expert jury to ensure a wide range of engaging stories.
During the summer holidays, the JULIUS-Club offers additional activities such as a book hunter and nature explorer rally, a Mario Kart tournament, a movie night, and more. The closing party of the JULIUS-Club will focus on fun and games, and an invitation to this event is granted to those who read at least two books and rate them in the JULIUS-Club.
The JULIUS-Club is a project of the VGH Foundation and the Lower Saxony Library Center, taking place in 46 public libraries across Lower Saxony. For further information, visit Nordhorn City Library or the official JULIUS-Club website at www.julius-club.de.
