Gas supply disruption resolved in Koblenz-Lützel: 500 homes regain access to gas

In the heart of Koblenz-Lützel, progress is being made in restoring the gas supply following a disruption. Heating systems in Karl-Russell-Straße have been checked and are now fully operational, thanks to the joint efforts of Koblenzer Wohnbau and an installation company.

Meanwhile, in Mayener Straße, the situation is improving as well. The gas supply has been restored for all but one building towards Metternich, excluding the last building in the street. This means that approximately 500 households in Koblenz-Lützel now have gas supply.

Eva Hoffend, spokesperson for the evm group, remains optimistic about the restoration of the remaining eight network connections in both streets. She expressed her confidence that the remaining connections will be reconnected to the network during the course of the day on September 15, 2025.

Despite the ongoing disruption in the remaining eight network connections towards Koblenz, the gas disruption in both Karl-Russell-Straße and Mayener Straße has been resolved faster than initially anticipated. The complex molch procedure was not necessary for resolving the gas disruption.

Enm's specialists have been working tirelessly to drain the ingressed water through additional pits, known as head holes, in order to ensure a swift resolution to the gas disruption. The heating systems in Mayener Straße are also being checked and addressed by the evm Service GmbH subsidiary.

As the work continues, residents can rest assured that every effort is being made to restore the gas supply as quickly and safely as possible. The progress made so far is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams involved in the restoration efforts.
