Garden fire at premises: Garden shed succumbs to inferno - Damage to possessions reported

On the morning of September 1, 2024, a garden hut in the Kleingartenanlage Obergruen of Verein der Gartenfreunde Freiburg-West caught fire, causing concern among the allotment gardeners. The incident occurred around 4:20 AM in Freiburg-Betzenhausen, Metzgergruen, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.

The fire department and police responded promptly to the emergency call, and thanks to their swift action, the fire was successfully contained before it could spread to other huts. No one was injured in the incident, but the damage to property amounted to several thousand euros.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. Investigations have been initiated by the Freiburg-Nord Police Station (Tel.: 0761 882-4221), and outside of office hours, media inquiries can be sent to [email protected].

It's important to note that the name of the investigator or the head of the investigative team that conducted the investigation into the cause of the fire is not publicly available.

Another garden hut was at risk of being affected by the fire, but the fire department managed to extinguish the blaze around 5:30 AM.

The fire was near the Gueterbahnbruecke, and the incident took place in the city of Freiburg im Breisgau, a beautiful city located in southwestern Germany.
