Cádiz Firefighters Aid in Ongoing Galician Wildfires

Firefighters from the Province of Cádiz are currently aiding in the efforts to control wildfires in the province of Ourense, Galicia. Since 09:30 this morning, a team of 17 firefighters and five vehicles have been present in the region, working tirelessly to extinguish the fires and protect nearby homes.

The Cádiz firefighters are being coordinated by the firefighters of the Ourense Provincial Council at the Verín fire station. This collaborative effort is a response to a resource request from the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Xunta de Galicia.

The fires in Galicia are ongoing, and the Cádiz firefighters have already made significant strides in controlling the blaze. In the village of San Vicente de Pepín, they successfully controlled the fire and prevented any damage to the homes. The firefighters have been instrumental in preventing material damage to the homes of this Galician village.

The Cádiz firefighters have also managed to prevent a fire in San Vicente de Pepín from affecting the houses, a feat that has been greatly appreciated by the local community. The team consists of 13 firefighters from different parks in the three zones of the province of Cádiz, three sergeants, and one sub-inspector.

This is not the first time that firefighters from Andalusia, specifically from the province of Cádiz, have assisted in fighting fires outside of their region. The Cádiz Provincial Fire Consortium has a history of providing resources to aid in emergency situations.

It is important to note that the functionality for firefighting and fire damage prevention is only available to subscribers. To access these services, individuals must be registered users. This functionality is a crucial tool for firefighters, allowing them to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

The Cádiz firefighters are currently collaborating with the Military Emergency Unit (UME) to control a backfire in a rural area near Arcucelos. The team traveled with three rural pump trucks, one command vehicle (pick-up), and one logistics vehicle. The main objective of the Cádiz firefighting team is to collaborate in extinguishing efforts and support the protection of nearby houses.

As the fires in Galicia continue to burn, the efforts of the Cádiz firefighters will undoubtedly play a crucial role in containing the blaze and protecting the local community. The collaboration between firefighters from different regions is a testament to the solidarity and dedication of emergency responders in Spain.
