Future of Hybrid Work 2024 - Focus on Crestron Solutions
In the rapidly evolving world of technology, the focus is shifting towards creating smarter, more efficient workspaces. One such trend is the development of hybrid workspaces, where traditional office settings and remote work seamlessly blend together.
According to Sam Kennedy, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Crestron, a key trend for 2024 will be the automation and control of user experiences in these hybrid workspaces. This prediction is backed by the identification of 28 thought leaders in visual technologies, 15 in esports, 15 in streaming technologies, and 15 in next-gen audio, all of whom are contributing to this evolution.
The heart of this trend lies in the integration of control elements for meeting software and room environment into a single screen, offering an easier user experience. For instance, occupancy sensors can detect a person's presence and adjust room settings such as lights, shades, and monitor inputs. Moreover, specific cameras may focus on a person standing in front of a whiteboard or the whiteboard itself automatically, depending on the situation.
The goal is to have all elements of the system work together to provide the best automated meeting experience, representing multiple manufacturers. In fact, multiple brands are collaborating to create solutions for hybrid workspaces, with one brand responsible for the control system, another for the conferencing platform, and a third for hardware like displays.
Crestron is one of the 40 AV/IT companies mentioned in the "Roadmaps 2024" report, indicating its significant role in this development. The settings for different types of meetings can be customized, with distinct lighting and shading settings for sales presentations versus brainstorming sessions, for example.
