Future Journeys with TMT Trailers: Expensive Excursions with No Destination

In a groundbreaking display at Nufam 2025 in Karlsruhe, TMT International showcased several new moving-floor trailers designed to cater to specialized transport requirements. Among the innovative offerings was the Intermodal Container Moving Floor, the only container worldwide with a movable floor.

One of the standout trailers was the Conchiglia model, available in E00 and E60 versions. Made from hot-dip galvanized Strenx-700 steel, the Conchiglia model boasts an impressive loading volume of 92 to 93 cubic meters. It is equipped with an integrated horizontal loading and unloading system and can transport pallets, bulk goods, or waste without the need for a tipping device.

For food transport, TMT offers the Conchiglia Frigo Moving Floor, a solution with insulated cooling capabilities provided by ThermoKing and Vector systems. The Leakproof Moving Floor, specifically designed for materials with a high liquid content, also complies with current environmental regulations. Its tightness is tested with 10,000 liters of water, according to the company.

TMT's Green Moving Floor is another innovative offering, combining intermodal capabilities with an electric axle. This enables up to four hours of autonomous operation without a tractor unit. The generator in the middle axle recovers energy during braking and stores it in batteries.

The Scrigno Intermodal Moving Floor, another TMT creation, does not require a middle support, facilitating the transport of extremely large and oversized materials. It has a side opening of 12.30 meters and a continuous loading height of 2.57 meters. In 2025, the Scrigno Intermodal Moving Floor won third place at the Trailer Innovation Award in the Body category and is nominated for the TTW Award in the Innovation category.

The Intermodal Container Moving Floor can be stacked up to three units high and has a loading volume of 89 cubic meters, capable of holding 33 Euro pallets. In an intermodal configuration, the Conchiglia model can reduce operating costs by 55%, external costs by 92%, and fuel consumption by 75%.

TMT International continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the transportation industry, offering solutions for specific transport requirements. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in their award-winning Green Moving Floor concept. The future of transportation looks promising with TMT International at the forefront.
