Future High-Power DC Charging Is Key, but Administrations Overdepend on Alternating Current According to Vallespin at Eranovum

Eranovum, a company focused on electromobility and renewable energy, is making waves in the public tenders related to electric vehicle charging points on public roads. The CEO of Eranovum, David Vallespin, aspires for clear guidelines in these tenders that prioritise main lines and aspects.

Vallespin and his team at Eranovum have their sights set on public sector entities and large corporations involved in sustainable mobility projects as their preferred target group for eMobility tenders. By the end of 2024, Eranovum expects to have between 300 and 400 additional charging points operational across various locations.

One of Eranovum's key proposals is for public tenders to take into account the needs of users and the experience of companies throughout the process. Vallespin believes that the future lies in DC charging above 30 kW, and Eranovum's ideal eMobility tender proposal emphasizes leaving the type of charging "open" to each actor proposing the ideal model.

Eranovum's success is evident in their recent wins, including a public tender in Seville where they will install around 200 charging points. They have already implemented 36 chargers in the Seville project and an average of 60 have been built and are awaiting approval. Eranovum has also been awarded contracts in Logroño, Rialp, Zamora, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, among other locations.

Investing in high-power technology improves usage ratios and increases the efficiency of charging points, a strategy that Eranovum has embraced. In the context of public tenders, Eranovum suggests a more flexible approach to the types of charging (AC vs DC) based on the experience in the electromobility market.

When discussing hubs, Eranovum's interest is limited due to the perceived lack of sophistication in municipal land analysis. However, they are interested in both hubs and charging points tenders, but each case depends on its own merits. The model of two massive deployments in Alternating Current is fading, according to Vallespin.

Prior to submitting a proposal to a competition, Eranovum conducts a detailed study of the proposal, analyzing advantages, disadvantages, and challenges. This meticulous approach has helped Eranovum deploy 800 charging points across Spain, Belgium, and France.

The increased demand for electric vehicles is reflected in the statistics. There has been a 77% increase in recharging in Asturias, 75% in Andalusia, and 54% in Murcia during the summer. Eranovum's DNA is based on the link between electromobility and renewable energy, a connection that is becoming increasingly important as the world moves towards a more sustainable future.

As Eranovum continues to replicate its success in public tenders, the company remains focused on providing efficient, user-friendly, and sustainable charging solutions for electric vehicles.
