Freshly laid asphalt on the Cronenberger Roadway
In the heart of Mannheim, the city known for its rich history and vibrant culture, preparations are underway for a significant road repair project. The affected road, located in the Neckarstadt West district, will undergo a much-needed asphalt paving overhaul.
The work is scheduled to commence on the 3rd of September, with the road closure to all traffic expected to last until approximately the 5th of September. This temporary closure is necessary to ensure the safety of both workers and the general public during the repair process.
The damaged surface layer of the road will be removed, and a fresh layer of asphalt will be laid. The total cost for this extensive 2,200 square meter road surface repair is estimated to be around 100,000 euros.
To facilitate the flow of traffic during the repair works, a detour will be signposted. The municipal utilities, WSW, will also be carrying out adjustments on installations such as shafts and inlets, ensuring the road is restored to its best condition once the repairs are complete.
The good news is that the road is expected to reopen for traffic on Friday. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to a smoother and safer journey on this revitalised road in Mannheim's Neckarstadt West district.
