Fresh allegations of sex offenses surface against Nathan Chasing Horse in Canada, with pending Las Vegas investigations underway.

Nathan Chasing Horse, a 47-year-old ex-movie actor and infamous cult leader, is facing fresh charges in Canada related to the alleged sexual exploitation of indigenous teenagers and women. Detailed investigations have revealed new information, resulting in nine additional charges.

Chasing Horse has been charged recently with three counts of sexual exploitation and four counts of sexual assault. Additionally, he faces single counts of removing a child from Canada under the age of 16 and sexual interference with a person under the age of 16. These charges date back to incidents in Alberta, Canada that took place in 2005. The specifics of the allegations were not disclosed, but investigations into victim statements were recently resumed.

Sgt. Nancy Farmer of Canada's Tsuut ฬina Nation Police Service told Las Vegas TV station KLAS, "We had a lot of collaboration with our Las Vegas partners in relation to some of the evidence brought forward and there is no question that he [Chasing Horse] is guilty of those."

Potential for More Victims

It is possible that more victims will come forward in Canada, as suggested by Canadian news site CTV. A Canadian victim has previously claimed that when she was 15, Chasing Horse had sex with her. Following this, she went to the US where they were involved in a ritual that appeared to be a wedding ceremony when she was 17.

Nathan Chasing Horse is said to be a medicine man with supposed healing powers, leading a 300-member cult known as "The Circle." In this group, he reportedly recruited girls and young women to become his wives. He resided in North Las Vegas with numerous wives before his arrest in January.

In early February, a grand jury in Clark County returned indictments against Chasing Horse on 19 charges, including ten counts of sexual assault against a minor under the age of 16 and six counts of sexual assault. These accusations were accompanied by charges of open and gross lewdness, first-degree kidnapping of a minor, and trafficking in a controlled substance. However, the drug charge was later dropped.

Chasing Horse is currently in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. Bail has been set at $300,000. He is currently facing federal charges in Nevada, as well as state charges in Montana and charges in British Columbia's province. His whereabouts after these Canadian charges are uncertain.

Sgt. Farmer of the Tsuut ฬina Nation Police Service underlined the importance of keeping these warrants active, stating, "At the end of the day, it is important for us to have these warrants in the system so our victims know they ฬve been heard."

Kristy Holston, whose role is the Clark County deputy public defender representing Chasing Horse in Nevada charges, has submitted an appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court, seeking to dismiss these counts. Her appeal asserts that the sexual encounters occurred consensually.

Despite this, Corena Leone, one of the two victims in the case against Chasing Horse in Clark County, exposed details earlier this year about repeated sexual assaults by Chasing Horse, which began when she was just 14, according to KLAS. Leone's revelations hint at multiple victims in the case.

Chasing Horse, known for his role in the 1990 film "Dances With Wolves," was born on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. He has been labeled "persona non grata" on various reservations.
