In a move to bolster its global presence, SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service now serves over 7 million customers across 150 countries. This growth comes after the successful launch of over 2,300 new satellites, significantly improving the network's speed, latency, and reliability worldwide.

For new customers, the Residential plan pricing for the first year of Starlink service has been slashed in both the U.S. and Canada. Moreover, Starlink has deeply discounted its Standard dish, making it more accessible to a wider audience.

Existing customers can enjoy the service for free until September 30, 2025. After this period, users can keep the service by switching to their preferred plan through their account. In a unique initiative, SpaceX is offering a free month of Starlink service to former subscribers who canceled their plans. This promotion applies only to canceled service lines, and eligible subscribers need to plug in their Starlink dish with a clear view of the sky to avail the offer.

Starlink has also replaced the previous free pause feature on most plans with a new $5/month "Standby Mode" that provides unlimited low-speed internet. This change aims to ensure that customers maintain their internet connection even during periods of inactivity.

The decision to attract former customers with a free month of Starlink service remains undisclosed. However, it is clear that SpaceX is committed to expanding its customer base and improving its service offerings.
