Free Berlin History Talk Unveils Hidden Stories Behind Everyday Objects

A free public talk will take place at the Markisches Museum on Sunday, October 20. The main event, part of the Let’s talk about art series, begins at 3:00 PM in the museum’s foyer. Visitors can drop in without booking in advance to hear about the Festival of Things exhibition on Eventbrite.

The Festival of Things exhibition explores Berlin’s history through objects from the city archive and museum. On display are everyday items like a potato bucket and a spinning wheel. Historical artefacts, including old flags and a Menorah, also feature in the collection.

The talk runs for one afternoon only, with no ticket or registration required. Attendees can arrive at the Markisches Museum’s foyer on Husemannstr. 12 from 3:00 PM. The main event offers a chance to learn about Berlin’s past through the objects that shaped it.
