Frankenheim’s *Hellwald Gärtchen* Opens as a Lush Green Community Haven
Frankenheim’s newly redesigned herb garden, now named Hellwald Gärtchen, officially opened on Saturday afternoon. The event drew around 50 guests, despite limited advertising, and marked the completion of an 80,000-euro transformation.
The garden’s new name was proposed by local resident Helga Hellwald. Its sub-name, Green Corner, reflects the eco-friendly focus of the redesign. Funding came largely from regional sources, with 73,000 euros covered by grants and community self-help efforts.
The inauguration showcased a space that blends relaxation and community engagement. With its mix of play areas, seating, and natural elements, Hellwald Gärtchen is now a functional and inviting spot for all. The project’s success reflects both regional support and local involvement in shaping Frankenheim’s green future.
