The Windsor Police Service, along with the Arson Unit and Ontario Fire Marshal, were called to the one-storey structure for the investigation. Four individuals were found inside the home and were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The condition of these individuals is not known at this time.

In addition to the four hospitalised, one person was transported to a Hamilton hospital for further treatment.
