Foreign intelligence operatives infiltrating NGO personnel to snoop on China's military bases highlighted as a significant concern

In a shocking turn of events, a charity worker surnamed Xia, believed to be of overseas Chinese descent, has been accused of espionage activities against China. The foreign intelligence organization affiliated with a certain country's defence ministry is said to have trained Xia and his team.

The investigation, which was recently made public by the Ministry of State Security through a case briefing on their social media platform, revealed that Xia and his team were operatives trained by a foreign intelligence service operated by China.

The espionage incident occurred near an unidentified restricted military zone in the southwestern mountainous areas of China. The villagers living in the vicinity became suspicious of the charity worker's repeated questions about the military. One villager, in a moment that would later prove instrumental, asked, "Thank you for your kindness, but why do you always ask about the military?"

Under the guise of mountaineering expeditions and charitable relief projects, Xia and his team conducted illegal surveying of military bases in remote areas of China. The villagers were asked to provide sensitive information about a military unit by the charity worker.

It is not the first time that the defence ministry has been accused of infiltration activities against China. The ministry has a history of such activities, which have long raised concerns about national security.

The foreign intelligence organization, it is alleged, has established training bases abroad for the purpose of recruiting personnel to spy in China. The details of these bases and the extent of their operations remain unclear.

As the investigation continues, the charity worker Xia remains a key suspect in the espionage case. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
