Glover bought the winning ticket at a Publix supermarket on East Bay Drive in Holmes Beach. The store, located at 3900 East Bay Drive, sold the lucky slip that matched all six numbers. Instead of receiving the full amount in instalments, she opted for a one-time lump sum.

After taxes, her payout dropped to $3.52 million. The Florida Lottery has created over 1,100 millionaires since launching in 1988, with total prizes surpassing $11 billion. Glover’s win adds to a long list of big payouts, including a North Carolina grandmother who recently secured $272,000 using family birthdays and anniversary dates.

No public records identify the previous Florida Lotto winner from October 2021, leaving Glover’s victory as the most recent confirmed jackpot.

Glover’s decision to play on impulse led to a multimillion-dollar prize. Her lump-sum choice means she receives just over half the original jackpot after deductions. The win also highlights how everyday lottery purchases can result in sudden fortunes.
