Florida player wins $2 million in Jackpot Triple Play drawing
A lucky player from Lakeland, Florida, has won a $2 million jackpot in the Jackpot Triple Play draw. The winning ticket matched all six numbers in the Friday, January 16, 2026, draw, just days before the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The winner’s identity remains unknown as they chose to stay anonymous.
The winning numbers were 2, 5, 12, 21, 22, and 25. By matching all six, the player secured the top prize of $2 million. In the same draw, 37 other players matched five numbers, each taking home $949.50.
The Jackpot Triple Play game costs $1 per ticket, with an optional extra $1 for a chance at a $10,000 prize. Draws take place twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday at 11:15 pm Eastern Time. After this win, the jackpot has now reset to $250,000 for the next drawing.
The Florida Lottery has confirmed the $2 million prize but has not released further details about the winner. The next Jackpot Triple Play draw will offer a fresh top prize of $250,000. Players can continue to enter for $1 per ticket, with the next draw scheduled for Tuesday.
