Five oil spill incidents occurred in March
In the Republic of Yakutia, five road traffic accidents involving oil spills have occurred this month, prompting a heightened response from the Department of State Environmental Supervision (DSES). As part of the Ministry of Ecology, Natural Resources and Forestry, the DSES plays a crucial role in addressing and preventing oil spill incidents.
The DSES can be contacted through various platforms, including VKontakte, Classmates, WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter, and YAKUTIA.INFO, providing updates on oil spill incidents via YAKUTIA.INFO. The head of the DSES in the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Yakutia is Yegor Viktorovich Koshelev.
State inspectors from the Ministry of Ecology of Yakutia have conducted on-site inspections for each oil spill incident. A preliminary measurement of the contaminated area was made for each incident to calculate the soil damage. Samples of the natural environment were taken in each case for analysis.
The DSES is likely involved in the oil spill incidents investigations, and may conduct additional inspections if necessary, as determined by their assessment of the incidents. An assessment will be given for all oil spill incidents to determine if unscheduled inspections by the prosecutor's office are necessary.
Failure to comply with established rules and norms for transporting hazardous cargo can lead to a local ecological disaster. The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Yakutia reminds drivers transporting hazardous cargo to follow traffic rules and consider road conditions. The DSES may issue additional reminders to drivers in this regard.
When witnessing a traffic accident, calling the duty officer of the MVD at 112 or the unified dispatch service of the municipal district is recommended.
The DSES is a key entity in addressing and preventing oil spill incidents in Yakutia, working tirelessly to ensure the safety and preservation of the region's environment. YAKUTIA.INFO serves as a reliable news source reporting on the oil spill incidents in the region.
