Firefighting personnel successfully douse blaze on the rooftop residence
On Sunday evening at approximately 10:30 PM, the Bocholt Fire Department responded to a residential fire in Straße In Drießens Weide, Bocholt.
The incident was managed through the FW Bocholt platform, with a total of 40 emergency services and 8 vehicles involved in the operation. The fire was found to be extensive in the attic of the residence upon arrival.
Several teams in breathing apparatus and with two attack lines fought the fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the operation, and no individuals were found to be present in the residence.
Initially, it could not be ruled out that there were still people in the apartment, prompting the alert of the volunteer fire department. However, thankfully, no one was found inside.

Throughout the operation, additional volunteer emergency services ensured basic protection at the fire and rescue station. The fire was contained to the attic of the residence, and the situation is now under control.
