Firefighters put out blaze in an apartment on the rooftop
The Bocholt Fire Department responded to a residential fire in Straße In Drießens Weide, Bocholt on Sunday evening at approximately 22:30.
Upon arrival, it was initially unclear if anyone was still in the apartment. To ensure the safety of potential occupants, the fire department had to alert volunteer firefighters. Fortunately, the fire was contained and extinguished without anyone being harmed.
The incident was managed by the FW Bocholt platform. A total of 40 emergency service personnel and 8 vehicles were deployed to tackle the blaze. The fire was located in the attic of the residence.
Several teams using breathing apparatus and two attack lines worked tirelessly to extinguish the fire. Additionally, volunteer personnel ensured basic protection at the fire and rescue station throughout the operation.
