One hotel guest confirmed the activation, and it was found that smoke detectors in the sauna area on the 5th floor had been activated. The fire department performed follow-up operations and ventilation measures with two teams in breathing apparatuses.
Water damage resulting from the activation of the sprinkler system required some hotel guests to be accommodated in nearby hotels, with the fire department supporting these measures. A total of 50 fire and rescue service and emergency medical service personnel were involved in the operation until around 2:00 AM. One guest was cared for by the emergency medical services but did not need to be transported to a hospital. However, an infant who required special baby food had to be transported due to unavailability during the operation.
