Fire breaks out in a residence located in Hannover-Mühlenberg
In Hanover, Germany, a fire broke out in a four-story apartment building on Reichweinweg at around 18:06 on an unspecified day. The volunteer fire brigades from Hannover-Misburg, Hannover-Bemerode, and Hannover-Bothfeld were among the teams that responded to the incident.
According to reports, black smoke was seen coming from a window on the second floor of the building. Four teams in breathing apparatus searched the affected apartments for people, but no one was found inside. However, three children aged between 9 and 11 years old inhaled smoke while exiting the building. One of the children was taken to a hospital for observation, while another was taken to a hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
The fire and rescue services of Hanover were present with 16 vehicles and 50 personnel. The fire spread to the floors above, necessitating additional fire engines and rescue resources. The fire department dispatched a fire engine, volunteer fire departments from Ricklingen and Bornum, and the rescue service to the scene.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but three apartments are currently uninhabitable due to the damage. The estimated damage from the fire is approximately 300,000 euros. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
