Fintech Walesnames a new CEO: Sarah Jones

Sarah Jones has taken the helm as the new CEO of FinTech Wales, a leading organisation dedicated to promoting and growing the financial technology sector in Wales. Jones, who has been instrumental in raising the profile of Welsh fintechs and strengthening the community's voice on a global stage, will bring her passion, vision, and dedication to her new role.

Jones' journey with FinTech Wales began in 2022 when she joined as Head of Marketing. Her hard work and commitment paid off, as she was later promoted to the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Now, as CEO, she will focus on supporting members, championing innovation, and establishing Wales as a global fintech hub.

Sarah Jones' contributions extend beyond FinTech Wales. She is also an Advisory Panel Member for Mastering Diversity, where she uses her expertise to foster a more inclusive environment. Her work in championing Welsh fintechs has earned her recognition both within the industry and beyond.

The announcement was made at FinTech Wales' 100th Event on Friday 5 September in Cardiff. The event, hosted by Scott Jones, featured a fireside chat with Henry Engelhardt and Louise O'Shea, as well as an inspiring panel discussion.

Since its inception, FinTech Wales has continued to strengthen the ecosystem through new partnerships and initiatives. One such partnership was welcoming Mastercard as its newest partner in August. However, there is currently no publicly available information about the next major project that FinTech Wales will launch under the leadership of Sarah Jones.
