Fight in AKN leaves man hurt in Bad Bramstedt; authorities seek potential eyewitnesses

A physical altercation between two passengers on the AKN line A2, bound for Neumünster, resulted in a 64-year-old man from Neumünster being arrested on November 20, 2023. The incident occurred at Bad Bramstedt station, with a 34-year-old man from Brandenburg an der Havel as the victim.

The victim exited the train and alerted the police through the train conductor. The criminal investigation for this case has been taken over by the Bad Segeberg Criminal Police Station.

The altercation stemmed from a dispute over bicycle parking spaces within the train. The suspect initially remained on the train and continued the journey after the attack. A police patrol was able to detain the man at Wiemersdorf station and make a preliminary arrest.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and neck from a cutter knife. The suspect was transported to the Norderstedt police station. After consultation with the on-call duty prosecutor, the suspect was released.
