Fifth Avenue will once again host its Open Holiday Streets event on Sunday, December 14th. The 2025 programme will turn a stretch of the famous avenue into a pedestrian-only zone filled with entertainment, food, and festive displays. Organisers have expanded this year’s event to cover more ground than before.

The celebration will run from noon until 6pm, closing Fifth Avenue between 47th and 57th Streets to traffic. Visitors can expect live performances, seasonal food and drink stalls, and interactive brand displays along the route. The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will serve as a centrepiece for the festivities, drawing crowds to its iconic location.

The Saks Fifth Avenue Light Show will also return after skipping the 2024 season. Its dazzling display will add to the holiday atmosphere, complementing the street’s other attractions. While organisers have not yet revealed specific performers or entertainment providers, they confirm the programme is still being finalised. This year’s event covers a larger area than in previous years, stretching from 47th to 57th Streets. The expanded footprint will give visitors more space to explore and enjoy the seasonal activities.

The Fifth Avenue Open Holiday Streets 2025 will offer a full day of festive fun on December 14th. With extended coverage, returning light shows, and a mix of entertainment, the event aims to attract both locals and tourists. Organisers continue to develop the programme, with more details expected in the coming weeks.
