Fierce excitement among Hansa final fans

Win or lose it all: FC Hansa Rostock's last game against SC Paderborn on Sunday (3.30 pm) holds significant importance. With a win, they may secure a spot in the relegation play-offs; however, they also need Wiesbaden to slip up against St. Pauli for this to happen.

Designated for demotion - Fierce excitement among Hansa final fans

The upcoming game is the most crucial one for Coach Mersad Selimbegovic (42) and his team, FC Hansa Rostock. With five consecutive losses, their morale is low, but not entirely lost. The 2:1 defeat against Schalke was especially heartbreaking for them.

Coach Selimbegovic shared his thoughts, "It was indeed a demoralizing defeat, and everyone was downhearted. But after some discussions, we realized we're still in the game and have a chance to salvage our season."

The team captain, Markus Kolke (33), agrees, "I'm 100% confident we can pull this off. We've trained hard this week, and now we need to perform on Sunday."

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the last training session before the final game. The Ostseestadion's east stand will be open to the public on Saturday (10:30 am) for fans to witness the team's practice. Kolke remarked, "This is a positive sign. We understand the importance of Hansa for this region and beyond."

With Kai Pröger (5th yellow) and Sarpreet Singh (red) absent, the team needs to show if they can take advantage of the situation. Coach Selimbegovic's expectations are clear, "We have to be brave and composed. We must score a goal and win to extend our season, but there's also Wiesbaden left to play."
