Festival spotlights during the Maritime Days in Bremerhaven

The Maritime Days 2024 in Bremerhaven is set to be an unmissable event, with a diverse range of activities and performances scheduled from the 14th to the 18th of August.

The festival grounds will play host to an impressive 180 stands, offering visitors a variety of experiences.

Sports enthusiasts will not be disappointed, as the Fischtown Pinguins and the Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will present their teams for the 2024/25 season, providing a thrilling sporting highlight.

Music lovers, too, have plenty to look forward to. The event will feature a musical festival showcasing successful artists and newcomers, with performances by the Bremerhaven Seamen's Choir, Muckezieren (who have been playing acoustic hits for over 10 years), and Canadian blues singer Layla Zoe, winner of the European Blues Award for "Best Vocalist".

Kelvin Jones, a musician with over a million streams on Spotify, is also scheduled to perform. However, specific artist names for performances on August 17th, 2024, have not been announced yet.

The detailed music program and headliners mentioned relate to 2025 events, not 2024. Nonetheless, German act Bjoern Paulsen and the winner of "X Factor" season 2, David Pfeffer, are confirmed to perform on the Radio Bremen Stage on August 17th.

Bremerhaven native Cas Paris, a DJ and music producer, will also take to the stage, performing two new singles live for the first time on the Container Stage on August 17th.

In addition to the music, most ships will offer free open ship access, allowing visitors to explore a variety of vessels, including the Dutch ship "Gulden Leeuw", the Spanish ships "Pascual Flores", "Nao Victoria", and "Galeón Andalucía", and around 80 other ships.

The Seemannschor Bremerhaven will also be part of the Maritime Days, adding to the nautical atmosphere.

To top it all off, a fireworks display, a pirate village, street food with delicacies from all over the world, and much more make up the colorful supporting program.
