Festival in Forchheim showcases circus, theatre, and music: offerings of the ZirkArt Festival
ZirkArt Festival Returns to Forchheim, Germany, from September 11-14, 2025
Get ready for a spectacular four-day event as the ZirkArt Festival returns to Forchheim, Germany! From September 11 to 14, 2025, the KulturSommerQuartier will transform into a vibrant fusion of circus, theater, and music.
Kicking off the festivities on the opening night, the Flame Rain Theatre from Austria will enchant the audience with a fiery spectacle. The main show will feature the Berlin-based GOGO HOME Project, combining breathtaking trapeze artistry with the pulsating live beats of the Swiss musical duo Qoniak.
The first ZirkArt Late Night Show will take place at the JTF (Kasernstr. 9), with Harvey Cobb, a comedian, juggler, and circus artist from Northern England, taking centre stage. Known for his unique mix of absurdity, sincerity, and humor, Harvey will perform his stilt juggling act "Pink Boots and An Alcoholic Sock Puppet".
For those seeking entertainment between performances, the Swoolish Garage offers a music-filled footbath terrace. Meanwhile, the Buckenhofen children's circus showcases the circus of the future.
Two show blocks at the festival feature performances with Cyr wheel, clown theater, juggling, and unicycle acts. The dragon Onil from Theater Oniversum will entertain both children and adults.
Lorenz Deutsch will open the festival as the eccentric time machine inventor H.G. Lawrence with a steampunk journey on the Paradeplatz. International artists, musicians, and performers will present their work at the ZirkArt Festival.
Tickets for showblocks, the main show, late night show, adults, and children can be purchased at Lotto-Annahmestelle Kefferstein, Hornschuhallee 21, and online at www.jtf.de. Information about packages, day tickets, and family cards can also be found on the website.
The official after-party takes place at the Schiefes Haus from 10 pm on Saturday. The festival will showcase its diversity during the day on Saturday and Sunday in the KulturSommerQuartier.
