"Festival celebrates Constitution Day and President's anniversary"

In the heart of Almaty, the "Zhetysu" park played host to the "Bilim Fest" cultural-educational event for children and teenagers. This festival, organised by the "Has shaber" Association for the Development of Domestic Production and the "Onerpaz urpag" Public Foundation, aims to popularise the spiritual heritage of the great Kazakh enlightener Abai Kunanbayev and strengthen national awareness among the younger generation.

The event, which coincides with the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was filled with engaging activities. A thematic discussion between parents and youth dedicated to the works of Abai took place, providing a platform for intergenerational dialogue. An exhibition of Kazakh national handicrafts and traditional clothing was organised, offering a glimpse into the rich traditions of Kazakh culture. Craftsmen and masters presented their works, sharing the stories and techniques behind each piece.

Music teacher Umysnay Syrimbekova shared her positive impressions about the event, highlighting the growing interest of youth in Kazakh national values and culture. She believes that the "Bilim Fest" is an important and beneficial event, serving as a means to promote and preserve Kazakh culture and values among the youth.

The main goal of the festival is to promote national values, legal education, and the spiritual and moral upbringing of youth. The discussion covered Abai's poems and words of wisdom, as well as the rights and obligations of children. The organisers hope that "Bilim Fest" will foster intergenerational dialogue and national awareness, and express hope that it will become an annual platform for such discussions.
