Federal authorities in NRW subdue unruly female suspect

In an unusual incident at Bochum Central Station on September 1st, a 20-year-old woman from Mülheim an der Ruhr caused a significant disturbance. The woman, who boarded the RE 6 train from Dortmund Central Station without a ticket, resisted police efforts to remove her from the train.

The incident unfolded around 8:30 PM, with the woman attempting to escape police custody and being found in possession of a folding knife and a small amount of Ecstasy. The officers found incapacitant substances on the woman during the escape attempt, and she was uncooperative with the officers, trying to break free and insulting them throughout the incident.

Following her resistance, the woman was taken to the Federal Police station after being escorted off the train. However, she attempted to escape from the detention cell at the Federal Police station. The officers found a switchblade and a small amount of ecstasy in her pocket during a search at the station.

Due to her behaviour, the woman will have to answer charges of assault on and resistance against law enforcement officers, insult, fraud, and violation of the Weapons and Incapacitating Substances Act. The German citizen was taken to a psychiatric clinic by paramedics after the incident.
