Federal authorities at Hamburg Airport discover concealed knife within a chocolate bar, raising suspicions of unusual activities
A bizarre incident took place at Hamburg Airport recently, where a 62-year-old German citizen was found to have a hidden knife blade inside a chocolate bar in his luggage.
The Federal Police Inspectorate at Hamburg Airport is responsible for the incident, with Chief Inspector Jürgen Dolle at the helm. For any further questions or inquiries, you can contact Marcus Henschel, the designated contact person, via mobile at 0172 427 56 08 or through telephone at 040 500 27-104. The traveler, who was on his way to Basel, claimed that the blade was part of a multi-tool and he was not allowed to take a similar tool in his hand luggage on his last trip. In an attempt to bypass the rules, he dismantled the blade and packaged it. The seized blade was of a multi-tool nature, with a length of approximately 8 cm.
The security assistants at the airport noticed something suspicious in the traveler's luggage and contacted the Federal Police. Upon investigation, they found the knife blade hidden inside the chocolate bar.
The traveler was released from the police measure and was able to fly to Switzerland. However, he will have to answer for this violation in a separate procedure.
The Federal Police Inspectorate Airport Hamburg can be contacted for further questions, and they encourage all travelers to adhere to the rules and regulations to ensure a smooth journey.
