Federal authorities apprehend woman sought by police at Cologne-Bonn airport, under supervision of BPOL North Rhine-Westphalia.

In a recent development, a 24-year-old German national was arrested at Airport Cologne/Bonn by the Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin. The arrest took place on August 25, 2025, during a border police immigration check of a flight from Tangier, Morocco.

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Wiesbaden had issued an arrest warrant for the individual due to a final conviction for negligent bodily harm. There was an enforcement order against the convicted woman, requiring her to pay a fine of 1,800 euros and court costs of 433 euros to avoid a substitute custodial sentence of 45 days.

However, the convicted woman was unable to pay the required amount and was taken into custody at the Cologne-Ossendorf Justice Center after the completion of the police measures. The Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin plays a significant role in enforcing court decisions and ensuring public safety at Cologne/Bonn Airport.
