On the late afternoon of August 18, 2025, a 20-year-old Latvian national was arrested at Cologne/Bonn Airport during an outbound control for a flight to London.
The federal police's consistent control prevented the suspect from leaving the federal territory undetected. The individual was wanted for arrest by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Hanover due to a theft offense with an imposed fine of €2,337.20 or alternatively 39 days in prison.
In addition to the wanted notice by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Hanover, there were two more warrants for the individual by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Gießen for burglary, and two more by the same office in Hanover for theft.
