Fanatics Reveals Special Offer for New Customers at their Sportsbook
Fanatics Betting and Gaming, a subsidiary of sporting goods giant Fanatics, is using the parent company's wide range of merchandise to entice new sports bettors.
Yesterday, the company unveiled the Fanatics Jersey Drop promotion. New customers who sign up for Fanatics Sportsbook or PointsBet US (which is being acquired by Fanatics) on iOS and Android platforms, even in states that aren't branded as PointsBet yet, and opt in for the Fanatics Jersey Drop promotion between September 1st and September 18th can place a single cash bet of $50 or more on any market and receive a reward credit worth up to $150 to buy team merchandise on the official Fanatics website.
The minimum odds for a bet that qualifies for the jersey promotion are -500, which means you'd need to wager $500 to win $100. Each client can only receive one reward credit, and bettors will get their credit via email within 72 hours after placing eligible wagers.
Known for its "Officially Licensed Everything" slogan, Fanatics Commerce is one of the leading retailers of sports apparel and merchandise in the US. The company holds licensing agreements with major sports leagues, selling products under the Fanatics, Nike, Mitchell & Ness, Top of the World, WinCraft, and Maejstic brands. By leveraging its extensive brand portfolio, Fanatics offers a perfect platform for sports fans turned bettors.
The company is already taking advantage of this connection through its FanCash program, enabling Fanatics sports betting clients to swap one FanCash for either bonus cash or merchandise at a dollar-for-dollar rate. Bettors can earn up to 5% back on same-game parlays, 3% on parlays, or 1% on regular or straight wagers.
It remains to be seen how many bettors would choose bonuses over merchandise, as Fanatics is exploring a unique approach to promote its brand. And this may prove to be a more cost-effective marketing tool as potential customers are offered discounts on clothing, caps, and other merchandise instead of the traditional promotional cash that's commonly available in the sports betting industry.
Although the domestic sports betting market is mainly controlled by FanDuel and DraftKings, analysts believe Fanatics has the potential to challenge these two leaders. With the acquisition of PointsBet, Fanatics Betting and Gaming has expanded into seven additional states for mobile sports wagering. Additionally, its sportsbooks in several other states will soon be rebranded as "PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience" if regulatory approval is granted.
Following the rollout of its mobile sports betting app in Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Tennessee, Fanatics Betting and Gaming will be present in at least 11 states before the start of the upcoming NFL season.
