Intense video emerges! - Fan assaults Düsseldorf goalkeeper.

Following the 1-1 tie between Holstein and Düsseldorf, which resulted in the North Germans earning promotion to the Bundesliga, Fortuna's goalkeeper Florian Kastenmeier (26) became the target of a mindless thug.

► Saturday evening, 10:25 p.m.: After referee Sven Jablonski (34) blows the final whistle, the pitch at Holstein Stadium is swarmed by excited fans who want to celebrate with their team. However, one unruly individual has a different perspective. A video posted on the X platform (once known as Twitter) shows a man storming towards Kastenmeier, tackling him. The goalkeeper manages to fend him off, sending the assailant tumbling to the ground. Without skipping a beat, the man charges towards Kastenmeier again and kicks him in the butt - astonishing!

A steward hastens to the scene and detains the perpetrator. Remarkably, Kastenmeier maintains his composure amidst the assault and expresses his gratitude to the Fortuna supporters for their backing.

Another unsettling incident surfaces online

On the X platform, a user claims that the assailant is currently in police custody for his assault on a police officer. This statement is yet to be verified.

Elsewhere on the social network, a user reports a Hitler salute made by an alleged fan in front of the Düsseldorf visiting section.

It's unfortunate that Kiel's first Bundesliga promotion is marred by such disgraceful incidents.
