Director of the BMW PGA Championship, Darrell O'Hora, expressed his excitement about the participation of tennis Grand Slam winner, Sir Andy Murray, in the Pro-Am. Murray, who has turned his attention to golf after retiring from tennis, will join forces with other prominent figures.
Gareth Bale, the Welsh footballer who helped Wales reach the semi-finals at Euro 2016, is a regular on the Pro-AM circuit. Bale, who won five Champions League titles with Real Madrid, played at Wentworth last year with Rory McIlroy.
