Famous Bayern Munich soccer players appear at fan club event in Tirol
In a historic first, FC Bayern Munich's A-youth team travelled to Austria to participate in the traditional fan club match, held in the picturesque town of Imst. The match, dubbed the "Dream Match," took place in a stadium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators, and it was a day to remember for the record champions.
Despite most of Bayern's star players sitting out the match due to fatigue from playing just 17 hours earlier, the youthful squad rose to the occasion. The team, predominantly made up of A-youth players, secured a impressive 3:1 victory (1:0) against Red Eagles Austria.
The first goal was scored by Aristide Hentcho Nseke in the 30th minute, followed by a penalty kick converted by Leopold Schmid in the 74th minute. The final goal was netted by Sadiki Chemwor in the 80th minute, securing the win for Bayern.
Despite the absence of key players like captain Manuel Neuer and goal scorer Harry Kane, both were present at the match, offering their support from the sidelines. Coach Vincent Kompany, who would later return as Bayern's head coach for the 2025/26 season, initially fielded some professionals, including Jonathan Tah, Minjae Kim, and Aleksandar Pavlovic. However, these players were substituted out early, giving the youth team a chance to shine.
The Bayern fan club managed to score one goal, making it 1:2, but the youth team's determination and skill proved too strong. This was the first time the professionals of FC Bayern Munich visited Austria for this traditional fan club match, and it marked a successful debut for the A-youth team.
The win came just a day after Bayern's opening victory in the Bundesliga, demonstrating the depth and talent within the club's youth ranks. As the team continues to grow and develop, fans can look forward to exciting times ahead for FC Bayern Munich.
