Family disagreement leads to road incident, resulting in injuries in Poland
In the heart of Gelsenkirchen-Schalke, on Franz-Bielefeld-Str., near Königsberger Straße, a traffic accident occurred on August 29, 2025. The incident involved a car driven by a 19-year-old and a bicycle ridden by a 43-year-old Gelsenkirchen resident. Tragically, the cyclist was injured in the accident.
Upon learning that he would be taken into police custody, the 19-year-old became aggressive and resisted. After surrendering at the South Station, he continued to show signs of aggression.
The 19-year-old, who is the son of the injured cyclist, was identified as the driver in the accident. His driver's license was confiscated, and a blood sample was taken for further investigation.
It is reported that the 19-year-old had previously violated a restraining order following a domestic violence incident. On August 26, 2025, he was evicted from his shared apartment due to these incidents.
