Fair Trade and Diversity: Büsum Joins Fair Week 2025 Celebrations

Büsum, Germany, is set to participate in the nationwide Fair Week 2025, an event that emphasises the importance of fair supply chains and global justice. Running from September 12 to 26, Büsum joins over 2,000 events nationwide in promoting fair trade.

As a Fairtrade town, Büsum is no stranger to the cause. The Tourism Marketing Service Büsum GmbH is involved in organising the events within Büsum, while the nationwide event is organised by Forum Fairer Handel e.V., Weltladen-Dachverband e.V., and Fairtrade Deutschland e.V.

One of the highlights of the Fair Week in Büsum is the Fair City Rally. Participants can join this event free of charge by obtaining rally passes from September 12 during opening hours at the Tourist Information in the Watt'n Hus or at the participating stations. The rally offers attractive prizes, including a 250 € travel voucher from DJH and various vouchers from local businesses.

Another exciting event is the special culinary tour, "Regional. Organic. Fair.", taking place on Thursday, September 18. Tickets for the tour, priced at 50 € per person, can be purchased at www.buesum.de and at the Tourist Information in the Watt'n Hus. Participants can expect delicious samples, exciting stories, and exclusive insights into Büsum’s culinary diversity. Places for the tour are limited, so early booking is recommended.

The Fair Week 2025 continues the motto from the previous year, "Fair trade, experience diversity." Products from fair trade are available in 900 world shops and 40,000 sales points, and around 2.9 million small producers and their families benefit from fair trade worldwide. The event aims to highlight the impact of fair trade on small producers globally.

For those interested in learning more about fair trade and experiencing Büsum's culinary diversity, the Fair Week 2025 is not to be missed. More information can be found on the official website, www.buesum.de.
