Spring Fair in Gießen 2024: A Fun-Filled Event for All Ages

Get ready for a delightful springtime celebration as the Spring Fair (Frühjahrsmesse) in Gießen returns from Saturday, March 30th, to Sunday, April 14th, 2024. This year's event promises a variety of attractions, games, rides, and delicious food for visitors of all ages.

The Spring Fair will be held at the Fairgrounds on Ringallee. The festivities kick off on Family Days, Thursday, April 4th, and 11th, starting at 2 PM. On these days, visitors can enjoy a host of activities, including walking acts, a craft station, and face painting, which will be the highlight of the day.

For thrill-seekers, attractions like "Freak" and "Breakdance" will provide an adrenaline rush. For the younger ones, the Auto Scooter and the "Crazy Construction Site" children's roller coaster are among the rides designed just for them.

Visitors can try their luck at games of skill like duck fishing or the lottery booth. For those who love heights, the Giant Wheel Picnic by Gießen Marketing GmbH can be booked at www.giessen-discover.de from March 21st, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

On Family Days, all rides have 50% off, walking and show attractions have 20% off, and selected articles or offers at stores have 20% off.

The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance on Saturday, March 30th, between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Don't forget to snap a photo with the Easter Bunny and post it on Instagram by March 31st, 2024, with the tag @gies_sen_entdecken to enter a prize draw. The Spring Fair will be officially opened by Mayor Francesco Arman at 1:40 PM. The Hansa Fanfare will march through the grounds before the Spring Fair opens.

Friday and Saturday's opening hours are 2 PM - 11 PM, with food stalls open until midnight. Monday to Thursday's opening hours are 2 PM - 10 PM, with food stalls open until 11 PM. Easter Sunday's opening hours are 2 PM - 11 PM, with food stalls open until 11 PM.

Three packages of tickets for the rides at the Spring Fair will be given away in the prize draw. Free rides on the rides and discounts at the snack stands will be available on the opening day from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
