Disarstar: A Marxist Rapper Critical of The Left Party

Gerrit "Gerry" Falius, better known as Disarstar, is a 28-year-old rapper from Germany who has made a name for himself by blending personal and political themes in his music. Born in 1994, Disarstar has gained a significant following in cities like Hamburg and Berlin.

Despite his left-leaning views, Disarstar has expressed some criticism towards The Left party. In an interview with Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa), he stated that he finds it unserious to be used by a political party as an artist. This sentiment is evident in his music, where he criticizes the political establishment, including those who discuss conscription while sitting in palaces.

However, Disarstar praises The Left party's online presence and follows left-wing politicians on Instagram, with the exception of Heidi Reichinnek, the chairwoman of The Left parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. It's unclear whether there's a public record of their Instagram interaction.

In June, Disarstar released a single called "I Won't Give Up My Sons," which addressed Germany's conscription debate. The song is a reflection of his Marxist political stance, as he criticizes those who advocate for conscription while enjoying the comforts of wealth.

Disarstar's latest album, "Hamburg Uprising," was released recently. In his rap ballad "Saint-Tropez," he discusses social inequality, sharing his experiences of feeling like an outsider due to his parents' financial constraints during his childhood and adolescence.

In 2021, Disarstar made a statement criticizing capitalism. He has also expressed a preference for democratic socialism over social democratic capitalism. Interestingly, his criticism of capitalism can be purchased on Amazon.

Despite his critical views towards The Left party, Disarstar has not publicly endorsed or aligned himself with the party. He considers himself non-partisan, living in a state of contradiction as a Marxist who does not want to be associated with a political party.

Disarstar follows back political figures who follow him on Instagram within 30 seconds, if Heidi Reichinnek follows him. However, he does not follow her personally.

In summary, Disarstar is a rapper who uses his music to express his Marxist views and criticize the political establishment. Despite his left-leaning views, he does not want to be associated with The Left party, expressing some criticism towards the party's practices. He has a significant following in Germany and continues to make music that reflects his political beliefs.
