"Exploring innovative methods to realize the complete capabilities of the labor force"
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Mittlerer Niederrhein is making significant strides in facilitating the integration of migrants and refugees into the German job market. Since 2012, the IHK has advised approximately 1,000 companies and private individuals regarding the recognition procedure for professional qualifications, with over 800 individuals receiving advice on recognition issues.
Recently, several individuals from various countries received certificates for the full recognition of their foreign vocational training. Among them are Kamran Ali, a chemist from Pakistan, Aghyd Alali, a milling mechanic from Syria, Denise Castillo Cuba, an electronics technician for devices and systems from Cuba, Nebojsa Miladinovic, a metalworking specialist from the former Yugoslavia, and Oxana Likhomanova, an office manager from Kazakhstan.
Ahmad Said, a native Syrian, has officially been recognized as a specialist in computer science with a focus on application development. Another individual, Karolina Natalia Prytuła-Kurzeja, an office manager from Poland, also received a certificate for full recognition of her foreign vocational training.
Jürgen Steinmetz, the CEO of the IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein, emphasized the importance of professional recognition for gaining a foothold in the German job market and being truly integrated. He stated, "Professional recognition is crucial for gaining a foothold in the German job market and being truly integrated."
The IHK FOSA (Foreign Skills Approval) uniformly evaluates and recognizes vocational qualifications obtained abroad throughout Germany. The IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein's services are aimed at facilitating this process, providing information about the procedure for the professional equivalence review and adjustment qualifications.
The Minister, in a speech, expressed the need for continuous improvement in immigration processes. The Minister stated, "We are an immigration country. Therefore, we must always ask ourselves: Where can we improve?" The Minister also spoke with guests, expressing these sentiments.
