Get ready, Bergisch Gladbach! The city is set to host its annual Fair Week from the 12th to the 26th of September, 2025. This year's theme, "Fair trade - Experience diversity!", promises a week filled with events, activities, and opportunities to learn about and support fair trade.

The city actively promotes fair trade through a steering group, and this year's Fair Week is no exception. Many actions and events will be organized and held in the city area during the Fair Week.

One of the highlights of the week will be the media exhibition "Fair Trade/Sustainability" at the library from the 15th of September to the 26th of September. Visitors can expect a variety of informative materials and exhibits showcasing the importance of fair trade and its impact on the world.

For those interested in supporting fair trade and improving living conditions worldwide, there will be an opportunity to inform themselves and contact the members of the steering group on Saturday. The Consumer Center GL will also provide information about fair trade throughout the Fair Week.

The Fair Trade market stall on the weekly market in Bergisch Gladbach will offer information about fair trade on the 17th of September. If you're eager to learn more, you can also visit the info stand on the market in Schildgen by H&A on the 19th and 26th of September.

Bergisch Gladbach holds the title "Fairtrade Town", and the city is home to numerous events that promote fair trade and sustainability. This includes the media evening "Bitter Fruits" at the VHS on the 29th of September at 7:00 PM, a reading with Renate Beisenherz-Galas and wine tasting at the One World Shop on the 18th of September, and the interactive games and multimedia content at the WIR Mobil during the City and Culture Festival on the 13th and 14th of September.

Regular controls ensure a socially just and ecologically sustainable production in fair trade, and a portion of the revenue from fairly traded products is used to promote social and ecological projects. Everyone can personally contribute to supporting the fair trade idea by consciously purchasing fair products.

The Fair Week is the largest fair trade action week nationwide, with around 2000 actions annually. Over 2000 towns worldwide are recognized as "Fairtrade Towns" across 36 countries, including many in Germany.

Join us in Bergisch Gladbach from the 12th to the 26th of September, 2025, and be a part of the global movement towards fair trade and sustainability. Let's experience diversity together!
