Expense Might Be High When Establishing a Beach in the Area
In a recent roundtable discussion, Artem Chernobuk, the deputy head of the Chita District, expressed his concerns about the current situation surrounding the beaches of Lake Arakhlay in the Zabaykalsky Krai. The beaches have remained closed this year due to unsatisfactory water quality.
Chernobuk emphasised the importance of adhering to safety standards to ensure the opening of beaches. He noted that non-compliance with these standards can lead to resources being wasted, as opening a beach is a significant investment, costing between 200,000 to 400,000 rubles in the Zabaykalsky Krai.
The regional government, specifically its environmental and water resource management agencies, is responsible for implementing measures to ensure clean water quality for the opening of beaches. However, at present, no ecological measures to clean the water of Lake Arakhley are being implemented.
Chernobuk advocated for the implementation of such measures, believing that they are necessary to open beaches on Lake Arakhley. He stated that the operation of beaches is a challenging issue due to safety standards, and that people need a safe place to swim.
Laboratory tests of water and sand are conducted at the beaches in the Zabaykalsky Krai. Sometimes, the sand parameters are normal, but the water does not meet safety standards. This highlights the need for action to improve the water quality of Lake Arakhley.
Chernobuk's statements suggest a pressing concern about the current state of Lake Arakhley's water quality. Opening a beach does not guarantee its operation, and the lack of ecological measures is preventing the beaches from opening this year.
The standards for beach safety exist in the Zabaykalsky Krai, but it's very difficult to fully comply with all legal norms in the region's beaches. Chernobuk expressed his opinion on this issue, stating that the unsatisfactory water quality of Lake Arakhley is the reason for not opening its beaches this year.
In conclusion, Artem Chernobuk's statements serve as a call to action for the Zabaykalsky Krai authorities to prioritise the implementation of ecological measures to clean the water of Lake Arakhley, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for residents and visitors alike.
