Expanded Family Resource Hubs Within Our Establishment
The Regensburg-based organization has recently published a new family support program, designed to offer a comprehensive range of activities and resources for families, parents, grandparents, and anyone supporting children. This program is not a repetition of earlier activities or focuses and instead aims to provide solution-oriented advice, information, and exchange for all aspects of family life.
The family support points, located in Donaustauf, Lappersdorf, Neutraubling, Nittendorf, Regenstauf, Schierling, the inter-municipal family support points Donau-Wald (Woerth a. d. Donau, Wiesent, Brennberg), and Jura (Beratzhausen, Hemau, Laaber), are led by experienced specialists who listen, provide orientation, and, if necessary, refer to further support offers.
New to the program are multi-part Kess-Parenting courses in cooperation with the Kolping Adult Education Association e. V., based on a democratic, relationship-oriented parenting concept. These courses aim to help parents handle conflicts more calmly, provide orientation, and meet their children on an equal level.
The program includes a variety of activities such as parent evenings, online lectures, workshops, open meetings, parent-child groups, children's courses, interactive events, playground meetings, and shared family experiences. Many events in the program are barrier-free or inclusive, ensuring that all families can participate.
The contents of the Kess-Parenting courses are practical and sustainable, even for families in challenging situations. The program also includes thematic workshops on children's rights, resilience promotion, and self-confidence, teaching central values such as participation, protection, and mutual respect.
Every family in the district can contact the nearest support point, regardless of their place of residence. The coordinating office for family education and family support points is located at the Regensburg County Administration. The current program is now available online at www.family-education.info.
The family support program also includes proven formats like "First Aid for Children" courses, events to strengthen the parent-child bond, child resilience promotion, and relaxation units for parents. Additionally, it offers playground meetings, parent breakfasts, thematically specific parent meetings, and offers for specific target groups like single parents, rainbow families, or parents after separation.
The program does not repeat the emphasis on strengthening parenting skills and self-efficacy, which is a key focus of the program. The offer is open to all caregivers, regardless of origin, lifestyle, or social situation.
In conclusion, the new family support program offers a wide range of activities and resources for families in the Regensburg district. With its focus on practical and sustainable solutions, democratic parenting concepts, and inclusion, it aims to provide support for all families, regardless of their circumstances.
