In a coordinated effort, the 2nd Police Precinct, Federal Police, and the Municipal Ordinance Service carried out an operation at Lübeck Central Station on Monday, August 25, 2025. The aim of this operation was to enforce the ban on weapons and knives in public transportation.
Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, officers controlled travel in the area of Lübeck Central Station. During this time, a total of four administrative offenses under the Weapons Act were detected, as several people were found to have knives.
One person was wanted for arrest and was taken into custody during the operation. The individual in question was a 34-year-old Czech man who was already wanted due to an outstanding arrest warrant for a sexual offense.
The control conducted at Lübeck Central Station was generally well received. Notably, a bicycle that had been stolen was secured during the operation.
