Examination Analysis of RPSC Second Grade Teacher Exam in 2025, September 7: Evaluating Group-A General Knowledge Paper, Degree of Difficulty, and Successful Attempts

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is conducting the 2nd Grade Teacher Exam from September 7 to 12, 2025, across several cities in Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Kota, and Alwar.

The Exam Structure

The RPSC 2nd Grade Teacher exam consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II.

Paper I: General Knowledge

Paper I, lasting for 2 hours, is a General Knowledge (GK) paper. It comprises 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and carries a maximum of 200 marks. The content areas for this paper include Geographical, Historical, Cultural & General Knowledge of Rajasthan, Current Affairs of Rajasthan, General Knowledge of India & the World, and Educational Psychology. Negative marking is applicable, with 1/3rd mark deducted for each incorrect answer. The minimum qualifying marks for Paper I are 40%, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Paper II: Subject-Specific

Paper II, which is Subject-Specific, has a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It consists of 150 MCQs and a maximum of 300 marks. The content areas for Paper II include Graduation-level subject knowledge, Secondary/Senior Secondary subject knowledge, and Teaching methodology relevant to the subject. The subjects covered in Paper II include Social Science, Hindi, Science, Sanskrit, Urdu, Mathematics, English, and Punjabi. Negative marking is applicable, with 1/3rd mark per wrong answer. The minimum qualifying marks for Paper II are 40%, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Exam Schedule

The GK Group A exam was conducted in Shift 1 from 10:00 am to 12 pm, while the Social Science exam was held in Shift 2 from 03:00 pm to 05:30 pm.

Candidates can download their RPSC 2nd Grade Teacher Admit Cards from the official website. The feedback on the Social Science paper, which is still ongoing, will be provided after the exam gets over.
