Ex-boyfriend fatally shoots college student following prolonged stalking, according to reports
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a Michigan college student named Sarah Carroll was tragically shot to death by her ex-boyfriend over the weekend. The incident occurred at the Woodland Villa Apartments, located approximately 25 miles from Detroit.
The ex-boyfriend, identified as "Lincoln," shot Carroll to death before calling authorities to admit to the killing. After the shooting, "Lincoln" turned the gun on himself and took his own life.
Sarah Carroll was a promising student at Schoolcraft College, where she was studying to become a physician's assistant. She was on the dean's list and received high marks, demonstrating her dedication and potential.
The tragic event occurred on Saturday night, Aug. 30, 2025. Sarah Carroll's family and the Westland Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
