EVRAZ invests 1.36 billion rubles to transform Nizhny Tagil’s infrastructure

A new cooperation agreement has been signed between EVRAZ, the city of Nizhny Tagil, and the Kachkanar Municipal District. Governor Denis Pasler of Sverdlovsk Oblast oversaw the deal, which aims to improve local infrastructure and services. The funding will come from over 1.36 billion rubles in taxes paid by the company. EVRAZ was officially registered in Nizhny Tagil on December 6, 2007. The company emerged from the consolidation of more than 60 legal successor firms, following plans set in motion earlier that year. The agreement focuses on using EVRAZ’s tax contributions to upgrade key public sectors. Education, healthcare, sports, culture, and road networks in Nizhny Tagil and Kachkanar will receive the allocated funds. Pasler highlighted the project’s role in supporting the Middle Urals region. His goals include creating better living and working conditions, retaining and growing the local workforce, and ensuring long-term social stability. The deal secures 1.36 billion rubles for regional development. Schools, hospitals, and transport links in Nizhny Tagil and Kachkanar will see direct improvements. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to boost economic and social conditions in Sverdlovsk Oblast.
