Guardamar del Segura's Fiestas del Campo Continues into September
The Fiestas del Campo, the Countryside Festivities of Guardamar del Segura, are still ongoing and will continue through the first two weekends of September. The festivities, which began on August 30, are a significant cultural event in this Spanish coastal town.
The local government of Guardamar del Segura, along with agricultural and cultural associations of the region, are the organisers of these September festivities. The celebrations are filled with a variety of events, including dance performances, bands, and special performances with a DJ.
On September 7, a mass to celebrate the Fatima Virgin, one of the patron saints of the area, will take place. That same day, a community dinner will feature a tortilla de patatas competition. For those who enjoy the outdoors, a special hiking route will be available on both September 6 and 7.
On Saturday, September 6, a domino tournament will take place, and a themed Mexican party will occur throughout the day and into the night. The following day, September 7, will see special performances with a DJ.
The festivities will reach their climax on September 13 and 14, with dance performances, bands, and a wine festival. Multicoloured and themed parties will also take place during these days.
The end of the Fiestas del Campo will be marked by a special auditorium meetup on September 14, where the official end of the festivities will be announced.
Beyond the Fiestas del Campo, additional fun events are planned in Guardamar del Segura, making it an exciting time to visit this charming coastal town. So, come and join in the celebrations!
